Whenever we start a new month, a new journey, a new season in life or whatever it may be.. we must never forget who we are. Obvious enough, eh?
In today's world, it's easy to lose yourself juggling daily or weekly tasks. We can become robotic, going through the weekdays waiting for the weekend. Life, in itself, can weigh us down.
I challenge everyone this month to meditate and take some time to reel yourself back in at the end of every day. It doesn't have to be long, maybe just 10 minutes or so. You don't have to close your eyes or sit in an elaborate yoga pose. Just reflect. Journal, listen to music, paint, or sit in complete silence. Take this time for YOU! Breathe. You deserve it ☺️
Let's try this as a way to reel ourselves back in... Affirmations!
Start with "I AM..." (I am beautiful, I am successful, etc.)
End your session with a promise to yourself (insert your name in the blank):
_____ I am proud of you for...
_____ I commit to you that...
Whether it be for the next day, next month, or the next year. Commit.
(There is no rule to how many or how specific you get with your affirmations, say them out loud or write them down.)
Mental Health and stability is very important, so make sure you are taking time for you. This simple routine has helped me tremendously. I hope it will do the same for you all. Let me know how it goes in the comments below.
