What is Spirulina?
It is classified as a cyanobacteria, or blue-green algae. It is known to be the single most nutritious food on the planet! There are about 1,500 species of spirulina, but only 36 are edible. It has been used for centuries as a food source in many countries and has been on Earth for about 3.5 billion years.
